"It's Christmas Fourth dimension Once more" is a Christmas song past American song group Backstreet Boys. The song was written by Backstreet Boys members Nick Carter and Howie Dorough along with Mika Guillory and Morgan Taylor Reid in early October 2012.[3] It is the first song by the Backstreet Boys to feature Kevin Richardson's vocals in 6 years. Richardson left the grouping in 2006 and rejoined in 2012. Information technology is also the first song released nether the group'southward own characterization K-BAHN. It's too their second seasonal song following their original Christmas song "Christmas Fourth dimension" which was released 16 years from information technology.

A sneak preview of "It'southward Christmas Time Again" was posted on the group's official website on November ane, 2012 and AOL Music premiered the full song on November 5, 2012.[5] "It's Christmas Fourth dimension Again" was released digitally on November 6, 2012.[six] The Backstreet Boys performed the song publicly for the very kickoff time on November 4, 2012 at the taping of Disney Parks Christmas Twenty-four hours Parade at Disneyland, CA. On Nov 14, 2012, the group debuted the song on national TV on The Talk and on December 19, 2012 they performed the vocal on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In December 2013, the Backstreet Boys performed this song in the almanac "Christmas in Washington" TV special which was also attended by the President of the United States Barack Obama and his family.[seven]

Background [edit]

The Backstreet Boys had been working on their 8th studio album since mid-2012 and they originally aimed to accept something out before the end of the twelvemonth,[eight] but subsequently pushed back the release engagement for the single to early 2013.[9] When they got the opportunity to perform at Disney Parks Christmas 24-hour interval Parade, Disney gave them the choice to sing their previous original Christmas song "Christmas Time" or a archetype,[x] only they figured they would write a new Christmas vocal instead which would also serve as a gift to their fans while they're waiting for the new anthology.[11] Dorough and Carter wrote the song in early on October 2012 with Morgan Taylor Reid and Mika Guillory in most two hours. Within a week they had the song not only demoed and written, but also recorded past the residual of the Backstreet Boys members. They then presented it to Disney, who chop-chop approved it.[10]

Critical reception [edit]

Artistdirect gave the vocal a positive review and v out of 5 stars,[12] describing the song as a "timeless Christmas canticle" with a smooth audio-visual guitar build-upward, resounding bells, and soaring 5-part harmonies. Entertainment Weekly too gave the song a positive review, noting that the song has a catchy melody, a trivial "boy ring hook," and a five-part harmony.[13]

Charts [edit]

The song peaked at No. one on Billboard's Holiday Digital Songs chart in Nov 2012.[14]

Music video [edit]

The music video for this song is blithe, and was premiered on artist directly.[xvi] Information technology features the members of the Backstreet Boys equally cartoon characters and follows the story of a couple who grow old together and how they spend their Christmas over the years.
